New Year's Art Blessing Giveaway: Destash!

Mixed Media Treasures Giveaway!
I have been going through my studio trying to make room for new ideas and directions this year and thought I would share a box of goodies for the collage artist! Giving just seems like a truly "ripple effect" thing to do. So many are struggling with just making ends meet these days. I wonder just what resources are really available between us all. And if those resources were released from hearts and hands willing to let them go and received by those whose needs were waiting to be met....the inequity and imbalance that seems to exist in our own communities might shift. I know this art offering won't save the world today but I offer it in the spirit of hope. What we each can give away are like seeds in another's life that might grow and multiply in ways we cannot even anticipate! Sometimes it is just so simple. There is so much we already have that is waiting to be released to another! So if you would like to be entered in the drawing just leave your name and info in the comment section below! I will draw a name to receive all of these items on Monday, January 12th!

If you would like to mention this giveaway on your blog and provide a link back to this post, let me know and I will add your name twice to the drawing! It would be fun to see this giveaway start a little ripple in the creative community.....what can you assemble from what you already have and give away? I'd love to hear your inspiring ideas!

May the king bless you so that your cup runneth over. I have just discovered mixed media art. And I can share in the healing and beauty that is found in this expressive art form.I am glad to see it being used to bless others and help our fellow brothers and sisters being made whole by the one is able to save.
I would like to be entered into your drawing, and although I am new to this and do not have inventory it has inspired me to look around and see what I have.
I will surely link back to the post.
Thank You again for sharing yourself and your heart.

I came over via Lori's blog. I think what you're doing is wonderful. Not that what you're giving away isn't beautiful, it is. But the spirit in which it is being given is more beautiful. No wonder your art is so fantastic, so is your heart. I don't do any kind of art(just not gifted in that respect) so be sure the winner does! Thanks for touching my heart. Debbie

I know I have things I can give away because I am always trying to figure out what to do with "all this stuff." And I have vowed that I won't buy anything else until I have used what I have. It certainly makes for stretching your creative wings.

Why is it that other people's "stuff" looks so much more enticing than our own? :)

I'd love to win your stuff.

What a lovely, lovely intention.

I am not in need, but if I am so lucky to win your beautiful box of goodies I will feel very, very grateful for all the beautiful things you have to share.

And I am very ready to pay if forward with my own large box of goodies. I don't have a blog - so am waiting for an artist in need to appear. It's happened before! And I trust that it will happen again.

Blessings to you -
Kathy

Hi Lani,

What a wonderful loving idea!! I had already planned on adding out of my stash to my give away for the One World One Heart Challenge that will start on the 18th of this month. As you call the ripple effect is a most powerful tool and doesn't get used near enough. Thank you for being the pebble that starts this ripple!!

I agree with your spirit of generosity and you are right about all of our abilities to contribute to others. It's all about matching resources with needs.

When I was working as a home visit occupational therapist with children with disabilities under the age of 3 years, I found disabilities to be the great equalizer. They crossed all genders, cultures, races, socio-economic status' and religions. Parents, whose paths may never have crossed otherwise, understood a sense of camaraderie amongst each other and helped to alleviate each other's sense of isolation as they found themselves a part of a community, they had never sought to join. It was not an uncommon for me to leave a home visit with a wealthy family of twins, with boxes full of outgrown clothes from relatives in England and drop them off with at a trailer where four families were living together and barely getting by.

Thank you for the call to think about how we might all contribute to lifting others' spirits up. It looks like there is going to be a lot of opportunity for us to do this going forward.

Kathryn

Wow, lovely a giveaway! Cheers to the winner whoever they maybe and a hug to you for being so generous. I think I would be adding many of the bits to an altered book I an currently working on as a suprise for my mother, then other pieces would go into some other projects I have been tossing around in that brain of mine! Anyway to battle the book awaits!
