Art Show Treasure and Healing Soul Tags....

Holiday Blessings to each of you! Time just seems to have an agenda of its own these days. I can't believe its been two months since I peeked in here to share a little of what has been going on for Healing Expressions. I have been continueing to narrow down my focus to quieter and simpler days here in my studio as I work to know and understand my own story. My art therapy work with survivors of abuse and trauma continues to grow and bring deep meaning and hopeful purpose to my soul. God has me on a slow and steady course and I feel His confirmation to keep going as each new step is revealed.

I was asked recently to share my work as a vendor at the upcoming "Healing Together" Conference by the non-profit organization, "An Infinite Mind"which will be held in Orlando, Florida late January. I am so excited and encouraged to meet the many supporters of this event. The three day conference will offer workshops, special speakers and vendors who will be providing support, resources, education etc for abuse survivors who live with trauma-based dissociation and their families and mental health professionals who walk the journey with them. It feels like a perfectly timed open door and I am currently preparing and creating with the heart of this event in mind!

I have enjoyed gathering with my art groups over the last few months to share and explore our creativity and work through the Soul Restoration on-line courses over at The Brave Girls Club. A highlight recently was meeting Melody Ross of the Brave Girls Club at her art show at Elida Field's Gallery locally in Camas, WA. What beautiful women and incredible creative journeys! An even bigger surprise was bidding during the silent auction for an original piece by Melody (pictured above) and finding out I won. I know this piece had deep meaning for Melody and I feel honored to have it in my art therapy studio and share it with the woman who stop by to talk and spend time exploring their healing hearts with me.
